Vana Steps ("Vana", "we", "us", or "our") is a steps, walking, and hydration app operated by Freya Tech. This Privacy Policy explains what information Vana collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
With your permission, Vana can read activity data from Apple Health, including steps, walking/running distance, flights climbed, and active energy. If you choose to log water in Vana, the app may also write hydration entries to Apple Health.
Vana uses this information to show your daily progress, walking goals, trends, hydration progress, and related in-app insights.
Apple Health data is handled through HealthKit. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, and we do not sell HealthKit data. Vana only accesses HealthKit data after you grant permission, and you can change those permissions at any time in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.
Vana may store information you enter or choose inside the app, such as hydration logs, daily goals, reminder settings, onboarding choices, selected plans, and display preferences.
This information is used to operate the app and personalize your experience.
With your permission, Vana may request your approximate current location to show local weather and suggest suitable walking windows. Location access is used only while you are using the app.
We do not sell your location data. You can disable location access at any time in iOS Settings.
If you choose to sign in with Apple, Vana may receive the account identifier Apple provides for your sign-in. Depending on your Apple settings, Apple may also provide your name or a private relay email address.
Vana uses this information to create or manage your account and support account-related features. Sign in with Apple is optional unless a specific feature requires an account.
If you purchase a subscription or other in-app product, Apple processes the payment. Vana may receive transaction status, product identifiers, purchase history, and subscription status from Apple so we can unlock paid features and manage entitlements.
We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
